Job Description

Job Title: Water Treatment / Hygiene Engineer.
Location: Glasgow, Central Belt of Scotland.
Salary: 22k – 32k.
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer through to Lead Water Treatment Engineer.

Profile:
A leading national company, who provide Water Hygiene, Asbestos and Health & Safety services to clients across the UK, are currently looking for a Water Treatment / Hygiene Engineer to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience undertaking water hygiene compliance task across various sectors. The company can offer the successful candidate a competitive salary and the opportunity to work regionally.

This is a homebased position, covering contracts along the M8 / Central Belt of Scotland. Consideration will be given to applicants based in; Paisley, Clydebank, East Kilbride, Coatbridge, Hamilton, Cumbernauld, Livingston, Edinburgh, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications:
– Current / Previous experience working within a Water Hygiene / Treatment Engineer role within an established company.
– Experience undertaking legionella compliance duties, ideally on Healthcare, Commercial, Retail and Local Authority sites.
– Good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM, and HSG 274 Guidelines.
– Industry recognised qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.

The Role:
– Temperature monitoring and sampling of water systems.
– Showerhead cleaning and disinfection.
– TMV Fail Safe and Servicing.
– Flushing of used outlets.
– CWST Cleaning and Disinfection.
– Mains injection cleans.
– Calorifier inspections and blowdowns.
– Closed system sampling and dosing with inhibitors/ biocides. (Desirable)
– Using PDA systems to complete job sheets
– Liaising with clients and maintaining excellent working relationships.
