Job Description

Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer
Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £36k + Training & Benefits

Our client is a successful Water Treatment / Water Hygiene specialist, who have a UK-wide client portfolio. They are seeking a diverse and hardworking Water Treatment Engineer to join their growing outfit. You will be working across commercial, industrial and local authority premises to conduct pre-planned ACOP L8 compliance duties and technical treatment duties, including: closed system dosing and pre-commissioning cleans. Our client is offering competitive salaries, in addition to a company vehicle, overtime earning opportunities and other usual benefits.

Ideally, we are seeking someone around: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead, Hebburn, Sunderland, East Boldon, Washington, Chester-le-Street, Houghton le Spring, Seaham, Consett, Durham, Prudhoe, Blaydon, Ponteland, Stocksfield, Whitley Bay, North Shields, South Shields, Hartlepool, Redcar, Middlesborough, Darlington, Spennymoor, Yarm, Thornaby, Guisborough, Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Strong experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer
– Excellent technical knowledge, including: ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
– It would be advantageous to hold plumbing experience / qualifications (I.E. Plumbing Diploma, Plumbing NVQ and / or G3 ticket)
– Flexible to travel in line with client requirements
– Hardworking attitude
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

The Role:
– TMV servicing and inspections
– Tank inspections, cleans and disinfections
– Closed system sampling, analysis and appropriate dosing as needed
– Showerhead disinfections
– Inspecting, installing and testing CLO2 dosing units
– Calorifier inspections
– Water sampling and temperature monitoring
– Pre-commissioning cleans and flushing in line with BSRIA guidelines
– Producing detailed technical service reports
– Fault finding on site and highlighting any non-conformities
– Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
