Job Title: Water Hygiene / Plumbing Engineer
Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester
Salary/Benefits: £27k – £38k + Training & Benefits
Due to continued company growth, our client is recruiting for a multi-skilled Water Hygiene / Plumbing Engineer to join their team. Ideally, they are seeking someone in the North West, who is happy to travel in line with company requirements. This role would suit someone who has a diverse skillset, and enjoys a varied workload day to day, as duties can vary from sampling/monitoring to larger plumbing installations and servicing. Ideally applicants will hold NVQ Levels in Plumbing and the G3 Unvented ticket. Our client is offering training into Legionella Risk Assessing and beyond, in addition to attractive salaries and benefits.
We are seeking someone around the following areas: Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Stockport, Altrincham, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Glossop, Warrington, Winsford, Knutsford, Runcorn, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Crewe, Birkenhead, Liverpool, St Helens, Skelmersdale, Ormskirk, Forby, Southport, Chorley, Blackburn, Colne, Burnley, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax.
Experience / Qualifications:
– Experience working as a Water Hygiene / Plumbing Engineer
– Will hold the NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing as a minimum (holding the Level 3 would be advantageous)
– Preferrably, you will also hold the G3 Unvented ticket
– Good working knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
– Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
– Flexible to travel in line with company needs
The Role:
– Conducting a wide variety of compliance and remedial duties across client premises
– Deadleg removals
– Pipework modifications and replacements
– Installing and servicing water heaters
– Tank cleans, disinfections and chlorinations
– TMV servicing and replacements
– Showerhead disinfections
– Training into Legionella Risk Assessing
– Completing regular service reports
– Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
