Job Description

Our client is an industry-leading water management company known for their expertise within the water hygiene, treatment and legionella sectors. They are currently recruiting for a professional and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the London area. The successful candidate will come from a strong legionella consultancy background with experience under-taking legionella risk assessment to blue-chip clients. Consideration will be given to candidates from Hertford, Basildon, Dartford, Slough and areas with good access to the M25 / London region.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must come from a good educational, chemical and technical background.
Must be fully conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines and a working knowledge HSG274 will be beneficial.
Will have hands on experience delivering water hygiene duties and carrying out legionella risk assessments to a varied site base.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have effective organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload.
Must possess proficient IT skills including competency using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Carrying out disinfections of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
Experience of carrying out L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/Water Hygiene industry.
Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
Producing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
Building and maintain a professional working rapport with clients and customers.
Occasional remedial plumbing work as and when required.
