Job Description

Job Title: Clean Room Validation / Commissioning Engineer
Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £50k + Training & Benefits

A leading name within the Critical Air / Clean Air industry is recruiting in the North West of England for a switched-on and mechanically-minded Clean Room Validation / Commissioning Engineer. They are seeking someone with an established skillset and proven track record within the industry, as you will be expected to hit the ground running. The role will involve work across pharmaceautical and medical environments, so prior experience within these settings is essential. You will be joining a privately-owned outfit, who have been operating within the industry for over 20 years. Salaries on offer are excellent and benefits include: company vehicle, overtime opportunities, pension scheme and annual leave allowance.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Must have experience working as a Clean Room Validation / Commissioning Engineer
– Will have extensive knowledge of HTM 0301 and HSG 258
– Adaptable to company travel requirements
– Ideally will hold the BOHS P601
– It would be advantageous to hold the CP (Competent Persons) and / or AP (Authorised Persons)
– Strong communication skills
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT proficiency

The Role:
– Validation and commissioning of clean rooms, fume cupboards, LEV systems and safety cabinets
– Commissioning of HVAC systems
– Repairs and servicing on class 1-3 microbiological safety cabinets
– Calculating air volumes, air flows and air change rates
– HEPA and DOP filter testing
– Particle counting
– Setting up pressure cascades
– Performing hand-overs and demonstrations to clients
– Answering any technical and logistical issues from clients
– Producing detailed, bespoke technical service reports
– Building strong working relationships with clients
