Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a well-established client of ours who has a nationwide presence within the asbestos and environmental industry. Due to an increase in work load they are currently looking to employ an experienced and competent Asbestos Technical Manager based in and around the Cardiff area. The ideal candidate will hold strong experience within the asbestos industry and will have experience undertaking audits, inspections, quality control and will also oversee the companies’ technical systems and provide in put on how to improve the business. Candidates from Neath, Swansea, Pontypridd, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.
Qualifications & experience
Must hold P402/P403/P404 or RSPH equivalent certificates.
Ideal candidate will come from a strong asbestos background and hold experience with technical, quality and management.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Proficient using Microsoft packages.
Role
Undertaking and organising audits, inspections, and quality control maintaining UKAS to ISO 17020 & 17025 standard accreditation.
Providing advice on training requirements and providing training when needed.
Attending technical and operational meetings.
Working alongside the company’s quality managers and department managers.
Building and maintaining working relationships with clients and customers.
Ensure that company systems are maintained and up to date.
Ability to oversee the company’s quality/technical systems and provide advice on improving the technical side of the business.
Ability to be flexible in line with business needs.
Providing accurate reports, developing method statements, risk assessment and all site associated paperwork.
