Job Title: Asbestos Technical Manager
Location: Newport, South Wales.
Salary / Benefits £25k – £45k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Technical Manager through to Lead Asbestos Technical Manager

Profile: A well established UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy with a national presence are now looking to recruit an experienced and organised Asbestos Technical Manager Based in and around the Newport area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within an established Asbestos Company, ensuring that the companies technical and quality procedures are being kept up to date with current legislations and that all staff are carrying out work to these guidelines. Previous time spent developing training plans, managing quality control systems and maintaining UKAS accreditations are also desirable.
Applications will be considered from: Cardiff, Barry Bridgend, Pontypridd, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Bristol, Bath, Keynsham, Frome, Weston-Super-Mare, Bridgewater, Glastonbury.
Experience & Qualifications:
” Will ideally hold the P402, P403, P404 or RSPH equivalent qualifications, S301 and CCP qualifications are a must.
” Will have extensive experience working within the asbestos industry working within a technical, quality or management role.
” Must be well versed in relevant Health and Safety Legislations.
” Will have experience working for a UKAS accredited company.
” Will have excellent communication skills and be competent in using TEAMS.
The Role:
” Carrying out improvements to technical standards of work carried out by all staff.
” Ensuring technical and quality procedures are kept up to date with relevant legislations and ensuring staff are carrying out work in line with current legislation.
” Managing of technical and quality operations and ensuring they run efficiently.
” Developing and managing training plans for staff in line with company needs.
” Carrying out audits, inspections, and quality control in order to maintain the companies UKAS accreditation.
” Providing consultancy and technical services and advice to existing and new clients
” Quality checking of survey and analytical reports in line with audit requirements.
” Managing non-conforming work and development of corrective and preventive action.
” Managing the internal and external quality control systems.
” Will use TEAMS to keep company databases up to date and produce accurate repots.
