Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Orpington, Kent
Salary/Benefits: £27k – £43k + Training & Benefits
A leading name within the Asbestos industry is recruiting in the South East of England. Due to recent contract wins, they are seeking an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to service a range of domestic, local authority and commercial contracts. It would be advantageous to be based with good access to the M25, for easier travel across the region. This role would suit someone who holds strong industry experience, who is seeking a move within a respected and busy outfit. Experience / Qualifications:
– Strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
– It is essential to hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalent)
– Good working knowledge of HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
– Flexible to travel in line with company needs
– Will have experience working to UKAS guidelines
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
– Conducting management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
– Re-inspection surveys
– Safely collecting asbestos samples from sites
– Performing 4 stage clearances
– Full air monitoring, including: reassurance, personal, smoke, leak and background
– Fibre counting
– Inspecting and signing off asbestos removals projects of varying size
– Producing detailed technical reports
– Providing tailored advice and updates to clients
– Wearing correct PPE at all times
