Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary/Benefits: £25k – £42k + Training & Benefits

Our client is a UKAS accredited Asbestos outfit, who has has recently won new contracts in the North Eastern region. They are recruiting for a qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to cover commercial and domestic premises across the region. It is essential that applicants hold a successful track record within the industry, and must be confident in discussing technical findings directly with clients. Locations of work include: Newcastle upon Tyne, Hebburn, Gateshead, Ponteland, Cramlington, Blyth, Ashington, Whitley Bay, North Shields, South Shields, Washington, Sunderland, Hexham, Consett, Stanley, Chester-le-Street, Houghton le Spring, Durham, Bowburn, Seaham, Horden, Crook, Spennymoor, Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Hartlepool.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
– Strong record working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
– Conversant in UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
– Able to articulate technical matters to clients
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
– Flexible to travel in line with company requirements

The Role:
– Conducting management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
– Undertaking 4 Stage Clearances, in addition to personal, leak, background, reassurance and smoke air monitoring
– Collecting samples from site for analysis
– Producing detailed technical reports
– Working across a diverse range of asbestos removals projects
– Monitoring the safety and compliance proceedures on removals sites
– Offering sound technical advice and logistical advice to clients
– Ensuring to work to agreed personal targets
