Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £27k – £42k + Training & Benefits

A privately owned Asbestos Consultancy is looking to add an Asbestos Surveyor to their growing team. You will be working within a local radius in the South East of England, predominantly on domestic and local authority premises. Our client is known for being a friendly and professional outfit, and has recently won new contracts across the region. You will be expected to work independently on site, and must have strong technical knowledge in order to effectively communicate findings to clients. Salaries on offer for the position are competitive, and packages include: company vehicle, overtime earning and pension scheme.

Locations of work include: Harlow, Cheshunt, Epping, Bishop’s Stortford, Chelmsford, Maldon, Witham, Billericay, Wickford, South Woodham Ferrers, Southend-on-Sea, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Basildon, Romford, Hornchurch, Grays, Tilbury, Dagebham, Ilford, Barking, Enfield, Potters Bar, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Dartford, Orpington.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Strong track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor
– Will have worked within a UKAS accredited company
– Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
– Hands-on experience working independently on site
– Good literacy and numeracy skills
– Proficient using IT software

The Role:
– Conducting the full range of management, demolition, refurbishment and re-inspection asbestos surveys
– Safely sampling from site and delivering to the laboratory
– Producing detailed technical reports
– Annotating existing floorplans and creating new drawings where required
– Providing detailed technical feedback to clients
– Working to set deadlines
– Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
– Wearing correct PPE at all times
– Adhering to HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
