Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £27k – £42k + Training & Benefits
A UKAS accredited company is recruiting in the Midlands region for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor. They are seeking someone with proven technical knowledge, who is also signed off for the full range of asbestos surveys. Our client has a mixed portfolio of commercial, local authority and domestic client contracts. It would be beneficial to have good access to major routes, i.e. M6 and / or M1. Salaries on offer are competitive and benefits include: overtime, company vehicle, fuel card, pension scheme and annual leave allowance.
Locations of work include: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Dudley, West Bromwich, Cannock, Lichfield, Stafford, Rugeley, Nuneaton, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Kidderminster, Droitwich Spa, Hinckley, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Rugby, Royal Leamington Spa, Alcester, Coalville, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote, Daventry.
Experience / Qualifications:
– Track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor, within a UKAS accredited company
– Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
– Fully conversant in HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
– Confident in communicating technical matters to clients
– Good literacy and numeracy skills
– IT literate
The Role:
– Conducting asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition surveys
– Ad-hoc re-inspection surveys
– Working across a range of commercial, local authority and domestic contracts
– Collecting ACM samples from site
– Producing detailed technical reports and schematic drawings
– Providing technical advice and project updates to clients
– Maintaining high standards of service
– Adhering to safety and compliance guidelines
– Meeting/exceeding performance targets
