Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client has recently won new client contracts, and requires a reliable and switched-on Asbestos Surveyor to support their existing team. You will be attending a range of commercial, industrial and domestic premises to conduct asbestos surveys and collect ACM samples. The ideal candidate will be able to prove strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience, and will be able to manage their time effectively. For the successful applicant, our client is able to offer thorough training, excellent salaries and robust benefits packages.
We can consider candidates from the following locations: Cambridge, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Ipswich, Sudbury, Halstead, Colchester, Braintree, Bishop’s Stortford, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Sandy, St Neots, Bedford, Huntingdon, Ely, Wisbech, Peterborough, Swaffham, King’s Lynn, Spalding.
Experience / Qualifications:
– Strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, within a UKAS accredited company
– Will be qualified with the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
– Fully conversant in HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
– Professional manner
– Good literacy and numeracy skills
– Profient using IT software
The Role:
– Carrying out management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across client sites
– Completing ad-hoc re-inspection surveys
– Sampling from site and bagging correctly
– Collating findings to produce site-specific technical reports
– Acting as a key point of contact for clients, answering any technical or logistical issues
– Maintaining strong relationships with clients
– Wearing correct PPE at all times
– Supporting the training of new surveyors
