Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Dartford, Southeast
Salary / Benefits £21k – £27k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

Profile: Our client is a UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy, providing the full range of asbestos services to a mixed range of clients. Due to an increase in workloads they are now looking to take on a competent and qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Dartford area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 Qualification and will have extensive experience working in a laboratory within the asbestos industry carrying out analysis of asbestos materials and preparing bulk samples.
Applications will be considered from: Bromley, Bexleyheath, Croydon, Maidstone, Orpington, Rochester, Sevenoaks, Sidcup, South London, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells.
Experience & Qualifications:
” Must hold the P401 qualification and have extensive experience working in a laboratory within the asbestos industry.
” Will have working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
” Must have excellent organisational skills.
” Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
” Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role:
” Carrying out analysis of asbestos materials and entering the results onto database, ensuring the data is accurate and in line with UKAS standards.
” Receiving and preparing asbestos bulk samples.
” Maintaining and developing UKAS accreditation systems.
” Ensuring that all analytical equipment used are kept clean and up to date.
” Liaising with clients and managers as and when required – dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
” Assisting and maintaining the company’s the Quality Control system, etc.
” Solving problems pertaining to laboratory tests and making sure that the samples are stored appropriately or returned to the right place.
” Complying with the Health & Safety procedures.
” Getting involved with any other laboratory duties as and when required.
