Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits £19k – £26k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

Profile: Our client is a multi-discipline and Prestigious environmental consultancy, holding the UKAS accreditation, they carry out the full range of asbestos works across commercial and industrial sites across the UK. They are now looking to take on an organised and adaptable Asbestos Lab Analyst Based in and around the Leeds area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 qualification and have extensive experience working in a laboratory setting within the asbestos industry, logging all samples received into the lab, preparing samples for analysis, and ensuring that all works are being carried out in line with UKAS and relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
Applications will be considered from: Bradford, Wakefield, Pudsey, Halifax, Dewsbury, Huddersfield Batley, Horsforth, Garforth, Castleford, Pontefract.
Experience & Qualifications:
” Will hold the P401 or RSPH equivalent qualification.
” Will be well versed on relevant Health and Safety guidelines,
” Wil have proven track record of working within the asbestos industry in a laboratory setting.
” Will have excellent organisational skills.
” Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
” Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role:
” Logging all asbestos samples received by the laboratory.
” Preparing all samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content efficiency.
” Completing analysis test sheets as and when needed and ensuring all test sheets are completed within the required time frame.,
” Ensuring that all wok is being carried out in line with relevant Health and Safety / UKAS regulations.
” Entering data, analysing, and checking reports.
” Completing and uploading reports for clients when and as requires.
” Getting involved with other laboratory duties when and as requires.
” Liaising and assisting with clients regarding enquires.
” Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff.
