Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Preston, Northwest
Salary / Benefits £19K – £25K +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst
Profile: A UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy, now seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Preston area. The successful candidate will be well versed in the latest HSG guidelines and will be able to analyse samples using PLM and Stereo Light Microscopy. For The right candidate, our client can offer good benefits, above average holiday and generous pension contributions, alongside scope to undertake the P402, allowing for survey report checking.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Must hold the BOHS P401.
” Will have experience working for a UKAS accredited consultancy within a Laboratory setting.
” Will be well versed in relevant Health and Safety / HSG guidelines.
” Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The Role:
” Ensuring all samples received are being logged correctly by the Laboratory.
” Preparing all samples for analysis.
” Carrying out analysis of samples, using PLM and Stereo Light Microscopy.
” Filling out analysis test sheets within the required time frame.
” Issuing sample analysis certificates.
” Liaising with clients and assisting with any enquiries.
” Updating internal and external databases with relevant information from Asbestos samples.
” Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
