Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits £19k – £25k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

Profile: A multidiscipline and UKAS accredited Environmental Consultancy, providing the full range of asbestos services to Healthcare, Educational, Local Authority and MOD sites across the UK. They are now seeking to recruit a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Sheffield area. The successful candidate will hold extensive experience working within a laboratory for an established asbestos company, logging all samples that are received into the lab, preparing samples for analysis, completing test analysis test sheets and providing clients with technical support when required.

Applications will be considered from: Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Worksop, Aston, Aughton, Brampton, Brecks, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Morley, Huddersfield.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification and will ideally have experience working within a laboratory setting within the Asbestos industry.
” Will have excellent organisational and communication skills.
” Will have excellent knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation in relation to Asbestos.
” Will be proficient in using TEAMS / TRACKER systems.

The Role:
” Logging all samples when received by the laboratory and preparing for analysis.
” Carrying out analysis for fibre content efficiency, ensuring all work is being carried out to UKAS and Health and Safety guidelines.
” Completing analysis test sheets when required, ensuring they are done within the agreed timeframe.
” Entering data accurately, checking repots and uploading reports when required.
” liaising and assisting clients with any enquiries and offering technical help when needed.
” Dealing with internal and external database.
