Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary / Benefits £19k – £25k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

Profile: A reputable Asbestos Consultancy with a strong presence across the Yorkshire area, working on large Commercial and Social Housing sites. Due to busy contracts, they are now seeking to employ a hard working and BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Leeds area. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within the Asbestos industry logging all samples on arrival to the Laboratory and ensuring they are stored correctly, analysing samples using PLM and Stereo Microscopy and completing test analysis sheets in line with client timeframes.

Applications will be considered from: Bradford, Pudsey, Shipley, Bingley, Keighley, Halifax, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Hebden bridge, Wakefield, Horsforth.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will have extensive experience working for an established Asbestos Consultancy, working within a Laboratory setting.
” Will hold the P401 qualification.
” Will have an excellent understanding of HSG 248 guidelines.
” Will have excellent attention for detail and will have excellent communication skills.
” Will be competent in using TEAMS / TRACKER systems.

The Role:
” Preparing all samples using PLM and Stereo Microscopy.
” Logging all samples upon arrival to the laboratory and ensuring that are all stored correctly.
” Preparing all samples for analysis of fibre content.
” Entering all information from analysis to an internal database accurately.
” Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with HSG 248 guidelines, alongside maintaining safe and clean working practices within the laboratory.
” Liaising with clients and continuing to build excellent working relationships.
