Job Title: Asbestos Consultant
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £45k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued company success, our client is seeking an experienced Asbestos Consultant to cover a range of commercial and domestic contracts. Ideally, they are seeking someone with dual experience (surveying and analytical), but our client is able to consider candidates who are carrying out surveying only, as they can provide comprehensive training. Our client is UKAS accredited and highly respected within the industry, and this is evident in their high service standards. The successful candidate can expect a competitive base salary, in addition to extensive benefits packages.

You will be travelling across: Luton, St Albans, Welwyn garden City, Watford, Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Buntingford, Epping, Enfield, Potters Bar, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury, Harrow, Wembley, Ilford, Barking, Romford, Hornchurch, Cambridge, St Neots, Hitchin, Buckingham, Bicester, Thame, Oxford, Brackley, Banbury, Didcot.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Must have experience as an Asbestos Surveyor
– Ideally will have experience undertaking a dual Surveyor / Analyst role
– Will hold the BOHS P402 as a minimum (or RSPH equivalent)
– Preferrably will be qualified with the BOHS P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
– Working knowledge of HSG 264, HSG 248 and UKAS compliance standards
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT skill level
– Flexible to travel in line with company needs

The Role:
– Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across a mixed portfolio of client premises
– Safely collecting samples from site for analysis
– Completing re-inspection surveys
– Carrying out 4 stage clearances, in addition to background, reassurance, leak, smoke and personal air testing
– Giving regular technical advice and project updates to clients
– Wearing correct PPE at all times
– Collating findings to produce detailed technical survey reports
– Maintaining high levels of service
– Representing the company in a professional manner
