Job Description

Due to consistent growth of the business, this top player and client based water treatment/water Hygiene Company with a large presence and turnover is presently seeking for an ambitious, astute, competent and commercially focused Water treatment Operations Manager in the South East and will include applications from London, Surrey, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

The successful candidate must come from a strong technical, chemical, supervisory, operational, contracts, office, sales and management background and must have proven track record working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry – a thorough knowledge of the water treatment industry would be required for this role.

Ideally, the applicant must come from a good educational background and must have good communication, client-facing, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, presentation and people management skills.

Must have hands on experience on water treatment/water hygiene services.

Must have good knowledge of ACOP – L8 and the water systems.

Experience in managing projects.

Holding a Health & Safety qualification and experience would be beneficial.

Must be fully conversant with the Health & Safety Legislation – water treatment/water hygiene.

Key Role:

The role will entail management duties – managing the staff – training and developing the staff, setting up management systems.

Ensuring all work all work is completed and delivered within time line.

Managing staff and consultants on site and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety procedures.

Ensuring that the procedures are followed and maintained.

Running contracts and coordinating – providing quotations and tenders to the highest level.

Using the Database – Entering information with regards to jobs to be carried out for the clients.

Ensuring that books are available on clients’ site for checks.

Liaising with the company’s managers with regards to staff required in order to service effectively.

Ensuring that the equipment is available as and when required servicing the accounts.

Assisting the technical staff with regards to procedures – operational and Health &
Safety needs for the company.

Meeting Key Performance Indicators.

Preparing and submitting quotations.

Getting involved with site audits, appraisals and training of staff.

Allocation of jobs.

Liaising with the Health & Safety Advisors with regards to safety of workers, auditing and compliance.

Generating new business leads whilst still managing the existing ones.

Profits and Loss.
