Job Title: Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer
Location: Chester, North West.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £34k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer through to Lead Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer

Profile: This client is a reputable Water Hygiene / Legionella company with a consistently growing presence across the North West, who are now seeing to recruit an efficient and independent Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer based in and around the Chester area. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure, and Hospitality sites, carrying out Calorifier Blowdowns, Temperature Monitoring, Legionella Sampling, Showerhead descales and TMV Servicing and will ideally hold the City and Guilds L2/L3 in Plumbing, carrying out pre-planned remedial tasks, removing dead legs and redundant pipework.
Applications will be considered from: Warrington, Crewe, St Helens, Leigh, Wigan, Manchester, Oldham, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Chorley, Stockport, Macclesfield, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, Shrewsbury, Telford, Cannock.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will be well versed in relevant ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / HSG 274 guidelines.
” Must have previous experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry.
” Will hold the City and Guilds L2/L3 in plumbing (or NVQ equivalent)
” Will have excellent communication skills.
” Able to use PDA / Tablet systems and update onsite logbooks.

The Role:
” Undertaking CWST Cleans and chlorination’s.
” Routine Temperature monitoring and Water sampling.
” Undertaking Failsafe’s and TMV servicing.
” Showerhead descales and disinfections.
” Removal of deadlegs and redundant pipe work to control the risk of Legionella.
” Signing off all work and completing all checks in relation to plumbing.
” Installing an re-routing copper and plastic pipework.
” Carrying out Calorifier Blowdowns.
” Flushing of little used outlets.
” Using a PDA /Tablet system to produce site specific reports and updating onsite logbooks for clients.
” Finding faults, providing clients with diagnosis, and resolving any issues effectively
” Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with relevant Will be well versed in relevant ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / HSG 274 guidelines.
