Job Description
Job Title: Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £35k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber through to Lead Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber
Profile: Our client is a reputable Water Hygiene / Legionella company, working on Local Authority, Healthcare, Educational, Industrial and Facilities Management sites. They are now seeing to employ a competent Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer bases in and around the Southend-on-Sea area. The successful candidate will be carrying out legionella monitoring task, TMV servicing, Cleans and disinfection on Hot and Cold-water system and pre-planned remedial works. This client can offer regional work, paid travel time and further training for the successful candidate.
Applications will be considered from: Basildon, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Harlow, Billericay, Canvey island, Boreham, Witham, Colchester.
Experience & Qualifications:
” Will have hands on experience undertaking basic remedial works and will ideally hold the City and Guilds or NVQ L2/L3 in plumbing.
” Wil have extensive experience within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry.
” Will have excellent communication skills and will be competent in using PDA / Tablet systems.
” Will be well versed in relevant Health and Safety / ACoP L8 / HTM 0401 guidelines.
The Role:
” Carrying out CWST Cleans and disinfections.
” Flushing of little used outlets.
” Routine temperature monitoring and Water sampling.
” CWST Refurbishment and modification of associated pipework.
” Hot water cylinder servicing.
” TMV installation and servicing.
” Showerhead descales.
” Removal of redundant pipework to make systems compliant and control Legionella risk.
” Building and maintaining excellent rapport with clients.
” Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with ACoP L8 / HTM 0401 / Health and safety guidelines.
” Using PDA / Tablet system to produce detailed site-specific reports.
