Job Description
Our client is a well-established national player, with a reputation for delivering a wide range of professional water treatment and legionella compliance services to long-standing clients across the UK. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and competent Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the London area. The ideal applicant will hold previous experience working within the water industry either as a water hygiene engineer, environmental service technician or monitoring technician and will have a proven track record of delivering legionella compliance duties to ACOP L8 guidelines. Applications from Bedford, Luton, Dartford, Basildon, and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & experience:
Extensive experience in carrying out water hygiene duties in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
Have previous experience working as a water hygiene engineer, environmental service technician or monitoring technician, within an established water treatment company.
Must possess excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Proficient IT skills including competency using MS Office.
Postholder responsibilities:
Undertake temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysis of water systems.
Repair, replace and servicing of TMV’s, Showerheads etc.
Carrying out cleans and chlorinations.
Comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Maintain and install dosing systems, etc.
Carry out any basic remedial legionella/plumbing work.
Build and maintain a professional working relationship with clients.

Ideally, the post holder will be a good team player with a positive work ethic.
