Job Description
Our client is an established and growing asbestos company, who provides a variety of professional asbestos services to national clients. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Asbestos Technical/Quality Manager to join their team based in and around the Glasgow area. The successful candidate will hold a strong technical knowledge of the asbestos industry, have extensive experience conducting audits and will ideally hold the CCP or CoCA qualification. Consideration will also be given to strong asbestos consultants, with auditing experience and the P402/3/4 certificates, who are looking to develop in to a technical role. Applications from Edingburgh, Falkirk, Kilmarnock and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications / Experience:
Must hold the P402/403/404 asbestos qualifications or the equivalent RSPH certificates.
Ideally hold the CCP/CoCa qualification.
Will have a strong technical, quality, auditing, management, asbestos background.
Previous experience gaining industry qualifications.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in I.T.
Be fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures in regards to asbestos.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects to ensure UKAS accreditation is maintained.
Carry out and co-ordinate audits, inspections and quality control – maintaining UKAS to ISO 17020 & 17025 standard accreditation.
Comply with UKAS documentation and procedures.
Liaise with the company’s clients on a regular basis.
Update and maintain the company’s systems and equipment records effectively.
Have the ability to oversee the company’s quality/technical system and drive forward in improving and developing the technical side of the business.
Run the operations side of the business – office, site staff and clients on a daily basis.
Oversee administrative staff, ensure contract operations are co-ordinated with clients and carried out effectively.
Deal with invoices, tenders, quotations, maintain personnel records, spreadsheets and all other relevant paperwork.
Attend sites and carry out audits – report analytical findings
Produce accurate asbestos reports, method statements, risk assessment and associated site paperwork.
Ensure projects are completed within the specified time scales.
Develop new business leads, taking the business to the next level.
