Job Description

Due to current business needs, this fast growing asbestos consultancy, is in the process of employing an enthusiastic , self-motivated and knowledgeable Asbestos Technical/Quality Manager based in and around the Chelmsford area. The successful candidate will hold experience in quality control and technical audits, advising on training requirements, carrying out inspections and liaising with UKAS. Applications from Basildon, Hertford, Colchester, North London, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally the successful candidate must hold the p401, p402, p403, p404, p405 or W504 or CoCA certificate and at the same must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos parameter.

Must come from solid asbestos, technical, quality, training, audits and management background.

Must have ample experience in writing policies and procedures and using the company’s systems.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must have good organizational, presentational, people management, leadership and IT skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality control and audits – advising on training requirements and attending operational/technical meetings.

Ensuring that the company maintains a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects recognized by external UKAS accreditation.

Carrying out audits, inspections and quality control effectively.

Liaising with UKAS.

Advising on training requirements – Asbestos Awareness Training.

Complying with UKAS documentation and procedures.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s large and mixed portfolio of clients.

Dealing with any issues appropriately and effectively.

Travelling to other offices as and when required.
