Job Description
Our client is a long-standing asbestos consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality asbestos and environmental services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an driven and commercial focused Asbestos Project / Contracts Manager based in and around the Huddersfield area. The successful applicant will hold extensive experience working in a Project or Contracts management role within the asbestos industry and have a proven track record of managing projects from start to completion, undertaking task such as; tendering for projects, producing estimates and quotations, as well as, managing teams of site staff and undertaking site audits. Applications from Oldham, Bradford, Rochdale and areas with good access to the West Yorkshire, North West and M62, will be considered.
Qualifications & experience:
Will hold the P402 / P403 / P404 certificate or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
Experience of working in an asbestos Project management / Contracts manager role.
Have previously worked within an asbestos surveyor / analyst / consultant role.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Competent with Microsoft office package.
Well-versed with asbestos health & safety legislation/procedures.
Role:
Managing a wide range of asbestos projects.
Producing estimates and quotations for potential contracts and completing risk assessments.
Undertake audits and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
Produce comprehensive management reports.
Undertaking contracts on commercial projects.
Supervising site staff carrying out work on various projects.
Writing tender specifications, accompanying contractors to site and evaluating tenders submitted.
Getting involved with quality control and reporting.
Undertaking tendering of projects.
Seeing projects through from start to finish
Visiting sites and auditing.
Maintaining a professional working relationship with the company’s clients.
