Job Description
Our client, a well-established asbestos company is currently undergoing rapid expansion and is now looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Asbestos Operations Manager based in and around the Newcastle area to oversee a wide variety of contracts. Applications from Darlington, Durham, South Shields, and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & experience:
Will hold the P402/P403/P404 certificates or the equivalent RSPH or S301/CCP qualifications.
Previous experience of working as an Operations Manager in the asbestos industry essential.
A strong technical/management/sales/accounts/consultancy/operational and commercial background.
Excellent communication and management skills.
A good working knowledge of asbestos Health & Safety legislation/procedures.
Competent with Microsoft Office package.
Role:
Manage, develop and train a team of surveyors/analysts/staff.
Update the databases, produce management plans, quotations etc.
Management of the operational side of the business.
Deal with and maintain all manner of paperwork.
Comply with all the relevant asbestos quality and technical procedures.
Attend sites and carry out audits.
Produce accurate asbestos reports, method statements, risk assessment and associated site paperwork.
Assist in the production of tenders and quotations.
Ensure projects are completed in accordance with clients specifications.
Maintain a professional, business relationship with the company’s large portfolio of clients.
Develop new business leads driving the business forward.
