Asbestos Lab Analyst/Administrator – Basildon

Job Description
Our client is an expanding and growing UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy and due to current state of the business, they are actively seeking for an organised and reliable Asbestos Lab Analyst/Administrator to join them in the Basildon area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 certificate and will be experienced in carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples as well as administrative duties such as reports and processing paperwork. Consideration will be given to applications from Romford, Rainham, Grays, and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience:
The applicant will hold the P401 qualification must have administrative/office experience.
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package – using the Database.
Key aspects of the Role:
Undertake bulk analysis of suspected Asbestos containing materials in line with ISO 17025 accreditation.
Preparing samples for analysis and recording of analytical findings.
Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
Making sure spreadsheets are up to date.
Data inputting and checking reports.
Quoting for works.
Booking in appointments into engineer’s online diaries.
Building and maintaining a good working relation with customers/clients.
Attributes:
In general, the successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible have good work ethic, good attention to detail and work independently.
