Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: St Albans, North London.
Salary / Benefits £19k – £27k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst
Profile: An established and long-standing Asbestos Consultancy, providing clients with the full range of Asbestos services across the South. They are now looking for a diligent and competent Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the St Albans area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 qualification and will have extensive experience working within a laboratory setting within the asbestos industry, analysing samples, working within HSG 248 Guidelines.

Applications will be considered from: Hatfield, Hertford, Hemel Hempstead, Ware, Stevenage, Hitchin, Luton, Harlow, Bishops Stortford .
Experience & Qualifications:
” Must hold the P401 qualification.
” Will have extensive experience working within the asbestos industry, ideally working as a Lab Analyst.
” Will have a good eye for key details and will have excellent understanding of the HSG 248 Guidelines.
” Will have excellent communication skills and will be competent in using TEAMS systems.

The Role:
” Logging all samples and storing correctly upon arrival to the lab.
” Preparing all samples for analysis of fibre content.
” Analysing samples using PLM and Stereo Microscopy.
” Entering all details into internal databases correctly.
” Partaking in RICE and AIMS schemes.
” Completing analysis test sheets and reports, ensuring they are completed and uploaded for clients within required timeframe.
” Liaising with clients and building excellent rapport.
” Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
” Maintaining safe working and clean practices within the Laboratory.
