Vacancy Description:

Our client is a diverse and fast-growing water treatment/water company that provides professional advice and service in the areas of water treatment and legionella to a mixed portfolio of national clients. Due to current business requirements, is seeking for a commercially focused, self-motivated and enthusiastic Water Treatment Service Engineer/Accounts Manager based in or around the Leeds area. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and growing steam boiler, cooling tower and steam boiler accounts. Consideration will be given to applications from Huddersfield, Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.


The individual must come from strong chemical, technical, accounts and management background.

Have a proven track record of managing a range of steam boilers, cooling towers and closed system accounts.

Ideally, the successful candidate will come from a service chemist background and will have hands on experience carrying out technical analysis on Steam Boilers, Closed Systems, Cooling Towers.

Must be well versed with the water treatment/water hygiene/legionella industry and the industry guidelines.

Will have excellent communication, organisational, presentational, people management, leadership and client-facing skills.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Purpose of the Role:

Managing and growing the company's diverse portfolio of existing and new accounts.

Scheduling and managing workloads of water treatment site staff.

Ensuring water treatment engineers meet the demands of the customers effectively and at the same time are complying with the L8 and water legislation.

Preparing quotations, tenders and pricing.

Getting involved with Key Performance Indicators.

Conducting chemical analysis on steam boilers and cooling towers, interpretation of results, maintenance and installation of chemical dosing systems, etc.

Providing technical advice to the company's large and mixed portfolio of clients.

Visiting sites and dealing with any issues appropriately and effectively

Getting involved with training and appraisals of site staff.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers.

Preparing reports as required by the company.

The successful applicant will be confident, versatile, astute and flexible and at the same time have the ability to carry out the work in a professional manner.
