Our client is a dynamic and highly successful company providing market leading levels of services in water and environmental to a diverse range of customers/clients. Due to rapid expansion and business requirement, they are seeking a competent, committed and multi-skilled Lead Water Treatment Engineer /Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the Leeds area. The right candidate will ideally have valid and varied experience as a Water Treatment Engineer/Legionella Risk Assessor, as well as, hands on experience in carrying out remedial plumbing duties. They will consider applications from Leeds, Bradford, York and the surrounding areas.


The applicant must come from a good technical, chemical, educational and consultancy background.

Hold the City & Guilds Legionella certificate or equivalent WMS qualification.

Have significant experience of carrying out L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/Water Hygiene industry.

A strong working knowledge of ACOP L8

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Experience carrying out remedial plumbing duties would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for carrying out legionella risk assessments on a varied site base.

Delivering a wide range of water hygiene duties including; cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, tanks clean, chlorination, refurbishment & disinfections, etc.

Carrying out temperature monitoring and sampling duties in accordance with ACOP L8.

Building a good rapport with the company's mixed portfolio of clients.

Carrying out any plumbing work as and when required.

Visiting various sites nationwide as and when required.

Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents f or clients/customers.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through maintenance regimes, quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessment.
