Vacancy Description:

Our client is a progressive and leading specialist water hygiene/water treatment consultancy and they provide comprehensive services to a mixed portfolio of clients and due to current business needs, they are now looking for a multi-skilled, good calibre and hardworking Water Hygiene Engineer to work on various contracts in Scotland and will include applications from Central Belt - South Lanarkshire, Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Ideally the applicant will be City & Guilds qualified and will have good formal education.

Must come from a chemical background and will have significant experience working within this role and within the water hygiene industry.

Having some experience in undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments would be a bonus.

Must be well versed with the water treatment/water hygiene industry legislation - L8.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office and will have knowledge of water systems.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must have good organizational and client facing skills.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Carrying out the following:

Monitoring the client's air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.

Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.

Carrying out temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analyzing water systems.

Maintenance - chlorination's, cooling towers, shower heads, disinfections.

Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.

Dealing with any issues effectively.

Building and maintaining good working relations with clients - dealing with issues appropriately and effectively.

Collating and providing service reports and maintaining the standards according to the regulations - Health and Safety.

Overall the successful candidate will be flexible and reliable, will have good work ethic and have the ability to work on heights

Must be prepared to travel extensively as per requirement.
