Vacancy Description:

Our client operates in the area of health, safety and environmental compliance working with organisations to ensure they meet their legal commitments with respect to these important matters.

This company is the service business of the Group and provides expertise in the specific areas of Legionella, Air hygiene, Carbon/Energy and Fire Risk Management employing consultants across the UK to survey buildings and report back to our clients. These consultants also setup and train their customers to use their specialist web based software.

The company is an Investors in People registered company and holds ISO 9001 and 14001 registrations.

The company is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to be part of their dynamic and expanding Sales team. You will report to the Group Sales Director.

They operates in the health, safety and environmental arena helping organisations to comply with their legal requirements through the provision of risk management services in the areas of Legionella Control, Fire Safety and Energy/Carbon management and through the use of its unique web based compliance software.

They are seeking a motivated individual with a proven track record in new business sales to develop its revenue in Northern England. Ideally based around the M62 corridor in order to develop business in the major conurbations of the North West, Yorkshire and North East. Candidates willing to relocate to this territory or outstanding candidates able to deliver high volumes of new business sales in other territories (subject to a business case) may also be considered.

Ideally with a minimum of three years in a sales role within Water Hygiene or in related sectors with respect to Health, Safety or Environmental compliance, you may be seeking the next step in your career and wish to join a company that is growing rapidly and offers the ability to improve your earnings and develop a real career path to senior management.

Sufficient technical knowledge to rapidly begin delivering success for their business would be desirable although preference would be given to candidates with evident strengths in winning new business and maintaining and developing relationships with large key accounts / corporate particularly within the North, irrespective of technical background.

A consultative sales person experienced in selling risk assessments, training, and other services but also able to leverage theirIT abilities to deliver in this area would be ideal. The ability and/or confidence to promote a technology led total solution to major clients would be advantageous.

Travel throughout the UK may be expected so a full driving licence is essential, along with the desire to work hard and often unsupervised. Consideration may be given to this post also covering Scotland in the near future. Most importantly we are looking for someone energetic, keen to learn, flexible and relishes the challenges of a dynamic environment. Salary will be commensurate with this type of position and experience.

Specific Tasks: This role will require you to manage the following specific areas (training provided on specialist areas):

Responsible for developing new business sales along the M62 and in the major conurbations of Northern England.

Plan your own diary and take responsibility for exceeding sales targets.

Work with existing strategic clients and expand the service and technology offerings that they take.


Language Skills: Spoken English to a high standard is required.

Experience: A minimum of three years in a sales role selling Compliance or H&S Services.
Experience within the Water Hygiene (Legionella) sector would be desirable and knowledge or experience of the Fire Safety sector would be advantageous.
