Vacancy Description:

An international water treatment company that specialises in all aspects of water treatment issues is currently seeking an ambitious and qualified Water Treatment Service Engineer with traditional water treatment /effluent/waste water/process water service background to join their prestigious team to cover the North West area.

This position's primary purpose is to be responsible for:

Giving their clients the best in class quality service by providing on-site corrective /preventative maintenance and offering after-sales technical and commercial support.

The ideal person will have knowledge and experience of the company products, applications and markets.

The position is field based and requires working at weekends, during public holidays and includes being on a rota to provide out of hours cover and rapid response.

The candidate will report to the Service Support Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (technical, managerial, financial, safety, quality)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To observe, abide by and enforce the Company's and client's Health & Safety policies.

To always present a professional image to customers whether by telephone, in writing or in person.

To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers through providing best in class quality service

GENERAL:

1. Always be punctual, helpful and courteous.

2. Carry out breakdown work - trouble shooting /fault finding

3. Carry out preventative maintenance work

4. Carry out commissioning work

5. Timely reporting on progress or delays.

6. Timely completion and submission of risk assessments work reports, time sheets and all other documentation

7. Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required.

8. Offer the client after-sales technical and commercial support.

9. Look for opportunities and where appropriate QOF the client for parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment work

10. Liaise and work with a the appropriate sales team

11. Offer feedback on future product development, features and functions

12. Observe and abide by the Company's personnel policies.

13. To propose and undertake any relevant training approved by your line manager

14. For all the above provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company

15. Undertake any other reasonable work related task at the request of your/senior management.

EDUCATION (essential and desirable)
Mechanical/ Electrical/Chemical Engineering qualification


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (essential and desirable)

The ideal person will have good communication skills be punctual and presentable, have knowledge and experience of the company products, applications markets and be willing to learn and develop.

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate that they have the capability to:-

- work and develop as an individual and within a team.
- set a high standard to be best in class.
- deliver on commitments and be successful.
- develop excellent customer relationships
