Our client is specialises in Environmental Compliance. They are part of a large PLC with office through out the UK. They are now seek a Fire Safety Consultant in the South East.
You will be undertaking fire risk assessments and audits in a wide variety of industry sectors, principally residential (Local Authority, Housing Association, private landlord) commercial property (shopping centres, hotels, pubs and offices), Enterprise and large regional businesses, education and NHS
The work will involve preparation of fire safety management systems.
Fire plan drawings, Fire drills, Delivery of training courses, fire warden, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings
Consultancy, enforcement liaison
Post Qualification Experience
Ideally ex fire officer of Station Officer or higher grade, or professionals currently working in industry.
Professional & Qualifications Skills Essential Desirable
Fire Safety
Graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers
Inspected premises under the Fire Precautions Act 1971
Inspected premises under the Housing Act 1985, Houses in Multiple Occupation
Inspected residential care homes & hotels
Completed fire investigations
Attended the Fire Risk Assessment Course (Northern Ireland Fire Safety Panel)
DSEAR Risk Assessments (Dangerous Substances & Explosive Atmospheres)
Professional Memberships
Institution of Fire Engineers
Listed on the Register of Fire Risk Assessors & Auditors (IFE)
Tech sp member of Institution of Occupational Safety & Health, IOSH, or CMIOSH
Skills
Current driving licence
Computer skills, word, e mail and internet,CAD drawings
Willingness to travel and stay overnight on occasions
