This client specialises asbestos management. They are currently looking to recruit a number of P402 asbestos surveyors to join their team based out of their South Yorkshire team, and cover projects they currently have in the North/Midlands. Candidates will require as a minimum qualification, the British institute of Occupational Hygienists (BIOH) proficiency in Building Surveys and Asbestos Bulk Sampling for Asbestos P402.

The successful candidates must have at least 3 months experience working for either a consultancy or contractor within the asbestos industry.

Successful candidates will be expected to carry out asbestos surveying, sampling and reporting (including use of databases). As a surveyor for the company you will carry out any of the three survey types as a pre-cursor to effective management. You will ensure that material is precisely located and identified, ensuring that the client is not exposed either physically or legally at some future date. Using a site audit you would then develop a risk assessment with recommendations to do with safety and compliance. Depending on the material's condition and site occupation factors you will either advise that it is simply made safe and labeled, properly repaired or removed altogether.

All surveyors must be Asbestos P402 qualified and have at least three months experience carrying out surveys.
