We are currently on a recruitment for an expanding asbestos management consulatncy that has offices all over the UK. Due to expansion, the company is now seeking to expand their asbestos surveying team They are keen to recruit an Asbestos Surveyors with at least 6 months surveying experience to join their team in the North East. Their Asbestos Contracts are mainly in the North East region, although some surveys will be outside the region.

Candidates will require as a minimum qualification, the British institute of Occupational Hygienists (BIOH) proficiency in Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos (P402) . You will ideally have the s301 CCP, although training will be given towards this.

Candidates will be expected to carry out Asbestos surveying, sampling and reporting (including use of databases). As an Asbestos surveyor for the company you will carry out any of the three survey types as a way to effective management. You will make sure that any material is precisely found and identified, ensuring that the client is not exposed either physically or legally at some future date. Using a site audit you would then work on a risk assessment with recommendations to do with safety and compliance. Depending on the material's condition and site occupation factors you will either advise that it is simply made safe and labelled, properly repaired or removed altogether.
