Our client is a well established, internationally recognised independent asbestos organisation, having regional asbestos offices throughout the UK. They have experience in asbestos surveys of properties of all sizes and provide comprehensive asbestos management service to a wide variety of clients.

They are currently seeking to recruit an Asbestos Surveyor/Asbestos Analyst in London who will be providing good quality asbestos consultancy services and will be working within the client's asbestos UKAS accreditation for sampling and analysis.

The applicant must have at least eighteen months experience in UKAS accredited asbestos service work, hold the Asbestos P402, Asbestos P403, Asbestos P404 modules or Asbestos S301 Asbestos CCP equivalent would be desirable but not essential and a full driving licence.

Duties will include:

Asbestos Type 2, Asbestos Type 3 Surveys/Reassessments of asbestos buildings

Asbestos in air measurement and fibre counting by optical microscopy

Asbestos 4-Stage Clearance Work

Management of health and safety in large asbestos works

Assist with provision of asbestos awareness training, asbestos briefings, tool box talks and other basic training for working safely with asbestos.

Ensuring appropriate records are maintained

Liaison with clients, clients' staff and clients' contractors

The majority of the candidate's duties will be undertaken from their own work base, client's sites. This requires the applicants to be able to deal directly with clients in a professional and helpful manner.

All technical work (sampling, surveying and analysis is taken to high quality standards.

The role will entail travelling and working at weekends and other unsocial hours are required from time to time. A company car will be provided.
