We are recruiting an Asbestos Removal Contracts Manager in the South East area.

After initial training, and with managerial and administrative support, the asbestos removal contracts manager will be responsible for running asbestos removal contracts from initial enquiry through to completion and forwarding for invoicing.

The main responsibilities of the post are:

" Understanding client requirements and advising clients
" Working closely with the demolition and asbestos surveying departments
" Pricing work and sending quotations
Negotiating tenders and completing sub contract agreements
" Writing method statements, risk assessments and completing H.S.E. notification. (PC Templates)
" Organising and managing labour and sub contractors
" Organising correct plant and equipment (company-owned and hired)
" Overseeing work including communication with client representatives
" Ensuring all work is carried out in line with current legislation including relevant independent air monitoring
" Organising skips (either contract or company), collections and correct disposal.
" Dealing with problems as they occur
" Working with the accounts team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing/payment applications

The successful applicant will need to be fast learning, flexible, hard working and have excellent communication, organisational and staff management skills. They will also need to be commercially and financially aware with the ability to negotiate and focus on client's requirements. A good standard of ITC skills including Microsoft Office and a valid driving license will be essential.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the Construction/Asbestos/Demolition industry. However, candidates with other relevant experience who can demonstrate that they have the flexibility and drive to diversify into this role may be considered.
