Due to expanding workload an asbestos company that offers professional advice and support services on a wide range of asbestos disciplines has an opportunity for an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in Hertfordshire.

The applicant must hold the Asbestos P401 qualification and must have a minimum of six months previous laboratory experience within the asbestos field.

The role requires the person to undertake bulk analysis for the presence of asbestos in samples in accordance with legislation guidance and company procedures.

They are looking for an individual who has at least six months experience working in a laboratory within the asbestos industry and having some administrative skills would be beneficial.

The main duties will involve booking samples received from site, preparing samples for analysis, carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content, and reporting analytical findings and typing certificates of analysis.

Liaising with various clients.

In general, you will be flexible, have good and communication skills and have the ability to organise workload effectively.
