Our client is large Asbestos/occupational hygiene specialist with office throughout the UK.

The main aim of the post would be to provide high quality Asbestos Consultancy to their clients.

Specific duties may include:

" Surveys of asbestos in buildings;
" Reassessments of asbestos in buildings
" Asbestos in air measurement and fibre counting;
" Management of health and safety in large asbestos works;
" Assist with provision of asbestos awareness training, asbestos briefings, tool box talks and other basic training for working safely with asbestos;
" Ensuring appropriate records are maintained;
" Liaison with clients, clients' staff and the clients' contractors;
" Working within the client UKAS accreditation for sampling and analysis, as appropriate.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have up to around 18 months experience in UKAS accredited asbestos service work and have P403 and P404 modules. Full training will be given. The post holder must be able to work as part of a professional team comprising clients, their advisors and contractors and other staff.

The post will involve travelling and working at weekends and other unsocial hours are required from time to time. A company car is provided and a current driving licence is essential. Approved overtime and travel and subsistence costs are payable.

Salary will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Salaries are reviewed annually on 1st April. The normal working week is 37½ hours.

There are 25 days annual leave and 9 days statutory leave. Our client operates a final salary contributory pension scheme.
