Our client is one of the leading risk management and health and consultancies in the UK and currently provides a comprehensive range of services to clients. Some of the services provided to clients include asbestos surveying, testing, air monitoring and management.

Due to an increasing workload the company is currently seeking to recruit an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst/ Analyst to join their team the West Midlands.

The desired candidate must hold all three qualifications for this role; the Asbestos P401, P403 and P404 qualifications. In addition to this previous experience in the Asbestos industry and good knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation is crucial. The role will involve approximately 50% of Asbestos Lab Analyst duties and approximately 50% of Asbestos Analyst duties.

Part of the role will involve carrying out analysis of bulk samples to determine the asbestos content. Other duties involve completing general day to day laboratory duties, typing certificates for the analysis of bulk samples, booking in samples from sites and undertaking and general administrative duties.

The other part of the role will involve undertaking all forms of air monitoring including smoke, background, leak, reassurance, re-occupation, visual, 4 stage clearances and personal air-testing. Additional duties include undertaking management, demolition and refurbishment surveys.
