Working for a large environmental Asbestos Consultancy that have office throughout the UK. To undertake building surveys in relation to asbestos materials
Carry out environmental monitoring in relation to asbestos
Analysis of bulk samples for the presence of asbestos fibre
Preparation of reports associated with surveys, analysis and monitoring. Advise clients, contractors, etc on asbestos and associated hazards.


Formal qualifications are not essential on appointment as in- house training is given
The requirements for experience are as laid down in the training syllabus.
Analysts/surveyors must perform satisfactorily in the in-house Quality system
Lead surveyors must gain P402 as a minimum, equivalent or superior qualificationLead surveyors to have working knowledge of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994.
Lead surveyors must perform satisfactorily within the Quality control scheme in accordance with the requirements of UKAS Guidance RG 8Bulk analysts must gain P401.
Analysts must gain P403 & P404 as a minimum, equivalent or superior qualification by December 2006
Analysts to have working knowledge of relevant HSE regulations for asbestos removal and the ACoPs and Guidance Notes supporting these regulations.
