This post provides an exciting opportunity for a successful and ambitious professional to further their career by joining a professional, multidisciplinary team of senior consultants in an internationally respected organisation. Reporting to our senior expert witness consultant who is based in the Derbyshire office, the post holder's principal role will be to support our thriving consultancy business based on the provision of expert witness services in civil litigation. Work will include:Provision of detailed expert reportsSite inspectionsAttending meetings with councilGiving evidence in courtOther occupational hygiene consultancy work is undertaken from our Derbyshire and other offices and the successful candidate will be expected to assist with the provision of such services where practicable. In is intended that the post is based in Derbyshire but other arrangements may be possible.The successful candidate will have substantial experience as an occupational hygienist, particularly in relation to hazardous materials. He or she will preferably have a BOHS Diploma in Occupational Hygiene and will have a science related degree. Some experience in acting as an expert witness will be an advantage. The work will be mainly office based but will involve travel to clients' workplaces. Approved travel and subsistence costs are reimbursed. A current driving licence is essential. Starting salary will be competitive and will depend on qualifications and experience. Salaries are reviewed annually on the 1st April. The normal working week is 37½ hours.
